The ideal time for a maternity session is between 27 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. During this window your bump is beautifully round and you're still comfortable enough to pose. For twins, we recommend booking around 26-30 weeks.

How far in advance should I book a newborn photography session?

Accepted Answer

Book your newborn session while you're still pregnant — ideally in your second trimester. Once your baby arrives, we'll schedule the actual session for the first 5-14 days of life while babies are sleepy and curl naturally.

What's included in your maternity and newborn photography packages?

Accepted Answer

Every package includes professional hair and makeup, access to our Client Closet of designer maternity gowns, climate-controlled studio, posing direction, multiple outfit changes, and fine-art retouching on every final image. Packages range from $349 (Light) to $1,490 (Premium).

Yes — while our studio is in Sacramento, we welcome families from Roseville, Folsom, Elk Grove, Davis, Stockton, San Francisco, San Jose, Fremont, Walnut Creek, and Lake Tahoe. Many Bay Area families turn their session into a Sacramento day trip.

Absolutely. Our photographer is trained in safe newborn posing techniques, and every 'impossible' pose in our portfolio (like the classic 'froggy' pose) is created through composite imagery — two photos blended in post-production so baby is never at risk.
